Baycrest Installation 2016
A bouquet of flowers is symbolic of celebration or some kind of emotional memory in almost every culture. It brings joy and colour to the receiver as well as the giver of the bouquet’s life. Inspired by that thought, I decided to approach the theme of ‘Intergenerational’ for the site-specific installation at Baycrest Health Centre through a deconstructed bouquet of flowers. Materials used to construct these flowers are reclaimed silk screen fabric and reclaimed steaming paper.
