‘Garden Vintage’ is a series of prints being developed inspired by the month of&#38;nbsp;August,&#38;nbsp;Wicker chairs,  soft blushy flowers, layers, a breeze, and some brightly coloured drink in hand...

	‘Lady of the Night’ was my first series in collaboration with Le Galeriste.&#38;nbsp;

Inspired by Night blooming flowers, this print was made as a screen print and developed further for digital.&#38;nbsp;

Window Installation 

This immersive textile installation was apart of the annual DesignTO Festival in Toronto. It became the recipient of the Peoples Choice Award “Favourite New Work” and was juried to be one of the 24 ‘Festival Features’.

Materials used were silk &#38;amp; polyester organza, stitched onto wire to create fantasy forms of foliage. The fabric was mostly hand dyed using the Polychromatic Printing technique.

My thesis focuses on aspects that create an immersive environment as
well as narrative. I am interested in the fantasy genre and the dream-like and
how the environments that are set in this genre are created i.e, what are the
necessary conditions that form a fantasy space. I wish to construct a space or
environment based on the translations of fantasy and dreams by adopting the
persona of a Textile Fantasy Author. Just as an author uses words in a book to
envision a space, I am using textiles to convey the personality of the space.
There is a strong need to explore a textile piece the same way a fantasy author
or poet uses their imagination to create a unique and ornate world of quality.
My thesis is intended to be sublimation of ideas; from thought to space and
text to textile, challenging what creates a narrative.

Watercolour Polychromatics


From love of watercolor painting and learning the Polychromatic Printing technique,&#38;nbsp; I explored direct translations as well as parallels.

	Baycrest Installation 2016


A bouquet of flowers is
symbolic of celebration or some kind of emotional memory in almost every
culture. It brings joy and colour to the receiver as well as the giver of&#38;nbsp; the bouquet’s life.&#38;nbsp; Inspired by that thought, I decided to
approach the theme of ‘Intergenerational’ for the site-specific installation at Baycrest Health Centre through a deconstructed bouquet of flowers. Materials used to construct these
flowers are reclaimed silk screen fabric and reclaimed steaming paper.

“Community Voices was an inspiring &#38;amp; highly
rewarding experience facilitated by the Textile Museum. This facilitation has
exposed me to the satisfaction in giving back to women in our community as well
as teaching artistic ideas. The unique way each woman interpreted the tools and
created distinct work using personal inspirations has shown me the versatility
of simple ideas and tools. I am thankful to Sistering &#38;amp; the Textile Museum

Nostalgia 2.0
	This project invited various artists to create Surgi Dolls which were apart of a live auction to&#38;nbsp;
generate money towards Project Sunshine.

My Doll, Nostalgia 2.0, is centered aound the doll being a symbol of comfort and nostalgia. It can embody the height of ones imagination &#38;amp; a strong feeling of familiarity. My Doll possess’ qualities of fantasy &#38;amp; curiosity I would have as a child &#38;amp; still feel.
